Peter Robinson‘s popular, nuanced police procedural series has dropped its 15th, Strange Affair. DCI Alan Banks is one of my all-time favorite characters in fiction and this installment adds to the big story with a plot that is based in Yorkshire and London. As per usual with Mr. Robinson, music often plays a supporting role; in this episode the title comes from a song of Richard Thompson. Very satisfying.
